What's Happening Locally - An update on Human Trafficking in San Jose - August 4, 2010

Wednesday, August 4, from 7 - 9 p.m.
Vineland Branch Library - 1450 Blossom Hill Rd. San Jose, CA 95118

~Free Event - Refreshments Provided~

After the Benefit for New Day for Children, many of us were left wondering about human trafficking happening here in San Jose.
  • Are children being used as sex slaves in our community?
  • Are the young people who are being exploited actually charged as criminals or given the help and services they need?
  • Is there anything we can do locally to help?

We have asked Sgt. John Vanek, Head of the Taskforce on Human Trafficking for San Jose Police Department, to present to our group. He will give a global to local overview, talk about the laws, and give us information about the Taskforce on Human Trafficking and the Coalition against Human Trafficking, two local groups. Please save the date and invite your friends to join us for a very informative evening, dessert and coffee.

Invitations are available. Please invite your friends:
